A family business over 50 years in the making that has gone through a significant transformation. The Copper Kitchen’s roots were set down in 1966 when Robert and Ila Waseka opened a Country Kitchen restaurant on this site. They later changed their business into the Copper Lantern Restaurant and that institution existed on the east side of St. Cloud for many years (and under the management of sons John and Mike Waseka as of 1984.) Then in 2022 John’s daughter Madison Waseka assumed ownership and soon thereafter led the charge on a major interior renovation of their space and renamed the restaurant Copper Kitchen. You’ll still find many of the old Copper Lantern’s  comfort breakfast and lunch favorites still on the menu, but Maddie and her staff have added some enhanced offerings like the Crab Cake Benedict, Monte Cristo and several takes on a croissant egg sandwich during their all-day breakfasts and new elevated burger, sandwich and salad offerings for later in the day. You can also now enjoy a beer, wine, different varieties of mimosas, cider or a sake Bloody Mary with your meal. The Copper Kitchen takes pride in obtaining many of their ingredients from local and Minnesota-based businesses like Heritage Angus Farms, Stoney Brook Farms, McDonald’s Meats, Milk & Honey Ciders, Bent Paddle Brewing and others.
